Chapter Twelve

“Where are we?” asked Heather, “And who made us appear here, anyway?”

“I think we are in my backyard,” said Michelle.

“Where are we?” asked Heather, “And who made us appear here, anyway?”

“I think we are in my backyard,” said Michelle.

“Great! Now, who made us appear here?” questioned Heather.

Suddenly, right in front of them, stood a giant beast, of which scared Michelle, Shannon, and Heather. The beast was, of course, tall and big. It was covered in dark, brown fur, but it seemed to be icy cold. The beast, also, seemed to possess the head of a bird, the body of a bear, and the legs of a human.

“What is that?” asked Shannon.

“I think it is the answer to your question, Heather,” replied Michelle.

As soon as Michelle finished her statement, the creature began to talk. It said, “You… all… must… be… banished… to…  Hell…!”

All of the girls ran in opposite directions, which confused the beast. Unfortunately, Michelle dropped the red jewel of which it was picked up by the beast.

“Michelle,” screamed Heather, “Why did you drop the red jewel!”

“I don’t know!” replied Michelle. “It just slipped out of hand!”

“Now, what do we do?” questioned Shannon.

Suddenly, without any warning, the angel appeared in front of them. She seemed a bit angry with them. She said, “Why did you drop the red jewel? Its power is now in the hands of the beast!”

“How are we supposed to get it back?” asked Shannon, as she was staring at the beast.

Unexpectedly, the beast threw the red jewel at Shannon of which knocked her out. As the jewel hit Shannon, the hit activated the vacuum effect, which sucked up the beast. Unfortunately, with Shannon still knocked out at this point, their matters only got worse.

“Shannon… Shannon… Get up… Please!” said Michelle, who began to cry. “Please… Shannon… Do not… Die!”

Their matters certainly got worse because in just a few minutes after, Jack the ghost appeared right in front of them. He had a sword in his hand, similar to the sword Michelle and Shannon saw last night. Right as the sword hit Michelle, she began to plead.

“Oh, Jack, please do not harm us! I promise I will never interrupt you during prayer! Please don’t kill us!” pleaded Michelle.

Everybody at that very moment was silent. Well, just for a few seconds until Jack began to speak.

“Finally! She said it, Lisa!” responded Jack, in which Lisa walked into the yard.

“Mom, you know Jack?” asked Michelle.

“Of course I do! He is just an actor who was killed while doing a performance in a play. All of your adventures were planned,” answered Lisa.

“But what about the Angel?” questioned Heather.

“Yeah, what is the deal with her?” asked Shannon, right after Heather.

“What angel?” asked Lisa.

“The angel that brought us to the dark forest! Who is she?” answered Michelle.

“I don’t know! Well, anyway, this dilemma was just a way to show you how disrespectful you are to me!” yelled Lisa.

“So, you mean, this was all a trick to teach me a lesson?” asked Michelle.

“Pretty much, yeah,” responded Lisa.

“Well, that was the most amazing lesson I will ever learn!” shouted Michelle.

So, to end this wonderfully written novel, always be sure to be kind to your parents. You never know how they might teach you a lesson.
