Chapter 20: Unexpected Visitor
Harry got up, rubbing his forehead morosely. Ron spoke, saying, “I don't think he’s the Challenger, mate.”
Harry quickly replied, “Who’s the Challenger, then?!”
Ron shrugged and said, “Maybe Draco? He always thought he could beat you at Quidditch, and now, he can beat you death.”
Harry, laughing brutally, said, “Good point, Ron. But how’re we gonna find out who’s the Challenger?”
Ron, smiled apologetically, replied, “Sorry mate, I don’t really know. But what can we do other than keep waiting?”
Harry looked at Luna. He had always known her for keeping uncomfortable truths, so Harry asked, “What do you say about this, Luna?”
Luna tied her blond hair with an odd piece of string and said, “I think Ron is mistaken. The Challenger needs to make sure that the Chosen seeker knows about the rules of the Challenge. Maybe that’s why that boy gave you those goggles.
Harry slumped on the bed, saying, “I’m sorry, guys. I can't think clearly right now. I just want to be alone for a little while, so could--,”
But before Harry could finish, the scene changed: Ron and Luna were gone. He was walking along a corridor, which was pitch dark. However, a bright light was in the distance. As he walked, he felt a presence of someone beside him; he looked side-ways: no one was there.
He increased the pace of his steps: his heart started pumping rapidly. After a few moments, he was standing in a huge room, filled with billions of small golden objects, which were floating in mid air. Something else caught his attention: the Green Snitch lay perched on a stone statue.
Before Harry could move forward, he felt someone pull his leg. And quite momentarily, he fell on the floor with a thud. When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying on floor of Ron's bedroom.
Harry now realized that he had fallen from the bed. Ron and Luna were both looking at him, worriedly.
“Are you alright, mate?” asked Ron.
Ron and Luna helped Harry to his feet. Harry simply said, “Yeah, I’m fine.”
Ron looked at him and said, “What did you see, Harry?”
Harry, shaking his head, replied, “Nothing. Listen, I’m starving. You guys wanna have some breakfast?”
During breakfast, Ron and Luna kept shooting nervous glances at Harry, but he tried to be as normal as possible. Ron opened his mouth, but before he said anything, the doorbell rang, while an owl soared through an open window, landing right in front of Mrs. Weasley.
Harry got up and said, "I'll go and check whose there.”
As Harry reached the door and opened it, he gaped in shock, saying, “What are you doing here?”
