Chapter Nine

The area in which they were standing was considered a jungle. However, the animals that resided in this playful area were completely abnormal and weird.

“Where are we, Michelle?” asked Shannon.

“I think we are in a jungle!” exclaimed Michelle.

As soon as Michelle finished replying to Shannon, a bird flew over their heads. Although, this was not your average bird, it was a mixed creed between a bird and a dog. Sounds strange, but it was completely true, especially the bear that began to chase Michelle and Shannon through the forest.

“Michelle, what is that thing?” shouted Shannon, as they ran faster to escape the creature.

“It looks like a bear!” replied Michelle.

Even through the intense heat, Michelle, Shannon, and the bear did not stop at all. However, the bear stopped right as Michelle and Shannon ended up next to a wooden building. Nothing seemed wrong about the building, but the bear still trembled at the sight of it.

“Uh, Shannon, you can stop running now,” said Michelle, as Shannon kept on running after Michelle stopped.

“What’s wrong with the bear?” asked Shannon, who turned around to look at it.

“I don’t know! Maybe we should go inside this house just in case he decides to chase us again,” replied Michelle.

“Good idea, I’m tired!” exclaimed Shannon.

Michelle and Shannon walked into the house, since no one was home. Although, they did see a tree that was not as normal as you might think because it was a cocoa tree. Since they had no use for a cocoa tree, they proceeded through the house. There was nothing odd about the house except for an occasional cockroach, which terrified Michelle endlessly.

“Shannon, I think we better get out of here!” exclaimed Michelle.

“Just because you are afraid of cockroaches, doesn’t mean you have to spoil this adventure!” replied Shannon.

“Adventure, this didn’t start out as an adventure! It started out as a ghost hunt!” said Michelle, with an angered voice.

“Exactly, a ghost hunt is considered an adventure to me,” replied Shannon.

“Okay, your right! Now, can we please get out of here!” said Michelle.

Okay,” replied Shannon, “All we got to do is figure out how we get out of here.”

“Maybe we can go out the back door over there,” said Michelle, as she pointed to her left.

Both of the girls walked to the back door, which seemed humongous up close. They opened the door, and found themselves in a familiar room.
